As many of you know, I moved from Brooklyn to Japan a few years back, and while I love living here, I miss some of the annual traditions from back home. One of which is volunteering with the Bowery Residents' Committee on Thanksgiving day every year and just spending time/talking with fellow New Yorkers that happen to be going through a tough time.

Seeing firsthand the way that BRC is able to provide support and bring together people to effectively uplift such an important part of the New York community is why I consider it a privilege to be able to run on their behalf.
