The Situation in Gaza
The humanitarian crisis in Gaza has reached catastrophic levels. Since October 7th, more than 45,000 Palestinians have been killed and over 110,000 are injured, with women and children accounting for 70% of the victims. These are only official numbers which are no longer reliable due to the siege in Gaza. Many, many more are gone, injured and missing.
The entire population of 2.2 million Gazans requires urgent humanitarian assistance.
How IDRF is helping
When disaster strikes, IDRF aims to be the first on the ground to provide immediate relief and aid.
Our teams in Gaza responded immediately, and have been providing civilians with daily water trucking services, food parcels, both locally sourced and through the Rafah border. Additionally, we have contributed medical supplies to Al Shifa Hospital in northern Gaza, and psychosocial support for children that are most affected.
