Thank you for donating to my 2026 summit attempt of Mount Tahoma (Rainier) with Climb for a Cause! Beyond the amazing organization detailed below, I wanted to share a bit about my personal motivation for participating in this climb.

The mountains, particularly the mountains of Washington state, have given so much to me personally. They are a place of safety, exhilaration, peace, joy, friendship, and connection. Connection with nature, with humanity, and with myself. Climbing Tahoma was not on my 2026 bingo card - while she is beautiful and awe inspiring, she never felt within reach for me. However, this opportunity to connect with the mountain in a safe and guided experience, while giving back to Washington's national parks, was too good to pass up. I hope that by fundraising and training for this climb, I am able to build an even deeper connection and appreciation for the mountains I love so much. More details below!

Climb for a Cause Details:

Our Climb for a Cause team of 8 climbers is embarking on an incredible journey to attempt to summit Mount Rainier (Tahoma) on June 7 -10, 2026 - guided by International Mountain Guides. The funds we raise beyond the climb cost will directly support critical park projects in Mount Rainier, North Cascades, and Olympic National Parks. 🌄✨

We are honored to be fundraising for Washington's National Park Fund - whose mission is to raise funds to preserve and enhance the natural beauty, cultural heritage, and recreational opportunities of Washington’s national parks so that they remain vibrant, thriving ecosystems and cherished destinations for future generations.🥳
