I’m on the board of Reading Legacies, a San Diego nonprofit that has spent 17 years helping families stay connected through reading aloud. They work in places most organizations don’t go — correctional facilities, recovery programs, family shelters, and under-resourced schools. The vision of Reading Legacies is for all children to feel the security of caring relationships and to learn to love reading.

This summer, we have a matching gift campaign called Double the Story. A $26,000 match has been secured, which means every dollar donated this Summer is doubled. Our goal is $52,000 in total impact.
