The Crisis Nursery is the only program of its kind in Sacramento County, providing free, 24/7 emergency care for children—from newborns to age five—when families are in crisis. Whether parents need a few hours or overnight support, the Nursery offers a safe, nurturing environment that helps prevent child abuse and neglect, keeps families together, and reduces entries into foster care.

When life becomes overwhelming, this vital service gives parents time to stabilize—and children a safe place to be. The Sacramento Children’s Home depends on community support to continue this life‑changing work.
