The Rhode Island Society of Human Resources Management (RI SHRM) is proud to host the Virtual Food Drive 2025 in support of the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. As an affiliate of SHRM—the world’s largest HR professional association—RI SHRM is committed to strengthening the Ocean State through civic engagement, partnership, and volunteerism.

This year, as part of our Volunteer Leader Conference 2025, we are uniting our members and community to help the Food Bank continue its critical mission: providing food to Rhode Islanders in need through a statewide network of 137 member agencies, including food pantries, meal sites, shelters, youth programs, and senior centers.

The need is urgent. Today, the Food Bank serves 89,000 Rhode Islanders every month. To meet this demand, they not only collect donations from individuals, supermarkets, manufacturers, and local growers, but also purchase food at low cost from wholesalers to keep shelves stocked. In 2024 alone, the Food Bank distributed 18.3 million pounds of food—including 4.1 million pounds of fresh produce.
