Story
Hi Everyone,
As many of you know, losing Mark to lung cancer was a defining moment for all of the people that he knew. He fought with an incredible amount of grace, and ever since, I’ve been determined to keep his memory moving forward again this year.
On May 23rd and 24th, I’ll be returning to the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend to take on the 2-Day Challenge. It’s a grueling schedule: a 5km and a 10km back-to-back on Saturday, followed by a 21.1km Half-Marathon on Sunday morning.
I’m doing this to raise money for The Cancer Research Society. Mark’s journey showed me the importance of resilience, and while my legs will definitely be tired by Sunday morning, it’s nothing compared to the marathon he endured.
My goal is to raise $1,000 this year. Please feel free to donate whatever you can.
Thank you for helping me honor Mark’s legacy and support those still fighting.
Let’s cross that finish line for Mark.
Cheers,
Richard
