On a moonlit October night in 1868, three young cadets secretly met on a limestone outcropping near the Parade Ground of the Virginia Military Institute to form a brotherhood that would change the lives of hundreds of thousands of men.

Annually, in October, the Legion of Honor calls upon this brotherhood to celebrate the anniversary of our spiritual founding by making a gift on Sigma Nu's Day of Giving. In 2023, we celebrate the 155th anniversary of this singular event.

The Fraternity thanks those who supported the Legion of Honor in 2022 to protect, strengthen, and advance our honorable Mission.
