Story

I'm proud to join Team JDRF for the TCS London Marathon on Sunday 21 April 2024.

My daughters Rachel and Grace both have Type 1 diabetes.

Grace was diagnosed in the Summer of 2017, she became unwell and had to spend some time in hospital.

Rachel was diagnosed in 2022, we noticed some of the symptoms such as extreme thirst, constant use of the toilet and weight loss. Using Graces blood glucose monitor, we did a finger prick reading and could see a high blood glucose level.

Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease, in which a person's pancreas produces little to no insulin. Insulin is a hormone that helps regulate blood sugar levels.

Please sponsor me and help me reach my target. Together, we can help find a cure for Type 1 diabetes!
