Story

My younger brother iain dundas was member of lifeboat in salcome. He received the bravery award for a brave rescue.

Iain unfortunately passed away on 28th december after brave fight against cancer.

29th december would be his 55th birthday.

I'm doing the new year swim to raise awareness in the great work RNLI do all over the country.

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. More than ever people need the help of the RNLI but too many people are still drowning.

This needs to change and thanks to your help, it can.

Helensburgh lifeboat station is crewed by volunteers, who provide a 24 hour search and rescue service. We rely on the support of our local communities to power our lifesaving service. Your support will help the running of lifeboat stations like Helensburgh and, ultimately, help to save lives.
