I'm proud to be participating in the Heavy Hockey Showdown in benefit of the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton.

From the SACE website: "When you donate to SACE, you will be helping us to provide crisis support, professional trauma counselling, police and court support, advocacy, direct public education, and advisory consultation with groups and agencies undertaking their own prevention efforts."

I'm going to be working for your donations. My body is NOT in good enough shape for a three-hour hockey game, so I'm going to be doing some training for it. I deal with chronic muscle soreness and discomfort, which impacts my day to day life and my ability to play sports well. My next potential solution to my problem is to strenghten my core. My fitness goal is to hold a tucked front lever position for five seconds before. I'll be posting progress updates along with information about SACE and the services they offer on social media leading up to the event, so stay tuned for that.
