Story
75 miles south of the world’s most heavily crossed border at San Diego/Tijuana, there’s a special place…. a home for hurting little ones, where “a cup of cold water” is given in Jesus’ name. This story of rescue has been written for over 40 years. It began in 1970 as a labor of love by concerned Christians in California. All of the children have a story that has brought them to this place in need of the love of Jesus. Our GAC students get to partner with this incredible place to help support the mission and serve these children.
Our Purpose: All of these children share the same sense of urgency – to love and be loved by Christians and to feel the compassion of God’s people. Our mission will be to be a friend and example of Jesus to a child. Our hugs and attention may be the love that helps heal a broken heart. From work projects, to sharing bible stories, to just sitting and playing with kids this trip is such a blessing to all who commit to serve.
Thank you for your support of GAC missions.
We are excited about offering this new way to fundraise through the JustGiving platform. As you donate you will be given an option to add 5% to your donation to cover the online fees for this convenient service. Please consider this option while donating to each student’s trip.
