Sally's fundraiser for Stroke Association

Swim for Stroke · 24 February 2025
As friends and family know, our Jimmy suffered a stroke, out of the blue, at aged 30. The Stroke Association is always there, kind and supportive to us all.
I am going to swim the English Channel ( or the equivalent) in Kelly College swimming pool. I like swimming, but I’m very slow, so have set myself the challenge of completing the 660 laps in 8 weeks. I might complete it sooner, but will try to not go over the 8 weeks.
From the Stroke Association:
This is part of a national Swim for Stroke.
When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community. With more donations and support from you, we can rebuild even more lives.
Thank you for any support given to this charity. I’ll do my best!
