The YMCA of Greater Houston is committed to providing critical support and services to survivors of human trafficking through its Trafficked Persons Assistance Program (TPAP). This program is designed to serve both minors and adults who have been subjected to labor and sex trafficking, offering them a path toward safety, recovery, and empowerment.

The TPAP program serves a diverse group of individuals, including 140 trafficking survivors who suffered labor and sex trafficking. Using a trauma-informed approach, our program recognizes the profound impact of trauma on survivors and tailors services accordingly. Through financial and legal assistance, social integration, community support, and advocacy for healthcare, victims of trafficking are given a sense of hope for the future.

As Houston prepares to host the FIFA World Cup 2026, TPAP is working to ensure that survivors of human trafficking have access to the support and resources they need to heal and thrive. Funds raised through this campaign will help provide emergency assistance, transportation, case management, legal advocacy, healthcare navigation, and other critical services that promote safety, stability, and independence.
