In my role as Site Coordinator at Shelburne Community School, I've seen first hand the difference a reading mentor makes for children. I'm often told by children that reading with their mentor is their favorite part of their day!

On Sunday, August 25th, my colleagues and I from Everybody Wins! Vermont, will hike up 4.3 miles to the top of Mt. Mansfield as part of Catamount Trail Association's Race to the Top of Vermont. We are halfway through our fundraising campaign for the Race to the Top and 36% of the way to our $20,000 goal, with $7346 raised so far.

The Race to the Top of Vermont has been Everybody Wins! best performing fundraiser for the last two years, and we hope to continue that trend. By donating, you help increase our children’s confidence, self-esteem, reading and communication skills with positive role models and mentors in an environment where everybody truly does win. Any donation to this important non-profit organization would be greatly appreciated. I hope you'll help me as we raise funds to bring mentors to more children around Vermont and New Hampshire.
