Given the current state of healthcare in Ottawa, and with how much our hospitals have helped me and my family in recent times, I got inspired to spread awareness about raising funds for the new Civic campus, which is expected to be finished in 2028-2029. They are at about 350m of total 500m that needs to be funded. Our community has an obligation to ensure the hospital goes up in time and with all the equipment they need.

The current civic campus is 100 years old and only holds about 300 patient beds (often 4 people to 1 room, or patients in hallways/the garage/the soccer field). The new civic will feature 640 private rooms and many other incredible features which you can see here: https://newcampusdevelopment.ca/

I will also be running in the Ottawa Race Weekend alongside friends, family, and other community members to raise money for the new civic on May 24-25, 2025.
