The Brain Tumour Charity's Copenhagen Half Marathon Team are going further, faster for a cure. Part of the SuperHalfs series!

Story

In October 2024, my dear friend Michael Stewart passed away from a brain tumour. Michael was a very genuine, caring and loving person who gave so much of himself to support others. He left behind a wife and three children, and it feels incredibly unfair that he is no longer with us. But that's what cancer does. We met in medical school and then went our separate ways, starting families in different parts of the world.

I am participating in the Copenhagen Half Marathon 2025 to raise funds for The Brain Tumour Charity. The more we can raise to help prevent or treat this illness, the better.

The Brain Tumour Charity is the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, they're moving further, faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour.

They're set on finding new treatments, offering the highest level of support, and driving urgent change. And they're doing it right now because they understand that when someone is diagnosed with a brain tumour, a cure really can't wait.
