On September 21st, 2024, I will be going "Over the Edge for Maine Veterans" – and rappelling down One City Center in Portland, Maine.

In 2021, we launched Veterans Forward to provide emergency resources and employment services for Maine's veterans and their families. With generous the support of our donors, our state-wide team has been able to help veterans and their families with financial hardships and access needed services.

• Helped 629 of Maine’s veterans access assistance

• Stabilized housing for 152 veterans through housing search assistance, and payments for back rent, moving costs and security deposits.

• Paid for 389 hotel stays to get homeless veterans off the street while awaiting permanent housing.

• Helped 55 veterans with new tires, vehicle repairs and financial assistance to keep their cars on the road so they could keep their jobs and attend medical appointments.

• Provided 99 veterans with warm clothing, holiday meals and gifts, and assistance unpaid utility bills, furnace repairs and heating oil.

• Assisted 56 veterans with accessing nutritious food to feed themselves and their families.

• Relocated eight (8) families after fires which had destroyed their homes and belongings.
