Story
I'm thrilled to share that I’ve been invited to join a team traveling to Ghana to provide basic medical care to vulnerable children in remote communities who have limited access to these essential services. When a friend first approached me about the opportunity, my initial reaction was, “I’m not a doctor—how could I possibly help?” But after learning more about the trip and speaking with the team lead, I discovered that non-medical volunteers are often part of the team. Right away I could feel God's tug on my heart to go even though it meant giving up potential job opportunities for the fall. I am so excited for the learning and growth opportunities ahead!
As part of this mission, I’m raising funds to help cover my travel expenses and to bring much-needed medical supplies to the communities we’ll serve. I’m reaching out to friends and family for support, and I would be incredibly grateful for any contribution you feel led to make—whether through financial support, prayer, or encouragement.
Thank you so much for your support. I invite you to take a few moments to watch this short video from a past trip to get a better sense of the impact this mission has had:
With much love and gratitude,
Sharon
