I'm raising money for a cause that's near and dear to me. ~10 years ago, on 2/16/2016 I was at a low point in my life and was trapped (for years) in the vicious cycle of opioid addiction. Honestly, I had hit that low point many times before where I told myself I would never do this again with all the conviction I could muster but inevitably found myself back in the same place hours or days later. That day was different. Having just gotten caught using (again....) I was blessed with the mental clarity to try something different. I took out my laptop and googled "treatment centers near me" and Ashley came up first on the list. I called the number, checked myself in the next day and my life has never been the same since. Ashley has given me a life I never thought was possible and for that I am forever grateful.

I was lucky enough at the time to be employed with health insurance, which covered most of the costs of my treatment, but not everyone who needs treatment is in that position.

The Lou Bantle Scholarship Fund raises money for veterans and service members who are in need of this type of financial assistance. I have many friends who benefited from this scholarship and have transformed their lives. I'm hoping to raise money to give someone else the chance to live, that same chance that I was blessed to receive. All funds raised will go directly to the Lou Bantle Scholarship Fund.
