Our National Parks Need Your Help

Solonie Pathania is raising money for Washington's National Park Fund

Team: Climb for a Cause: Mount Rainier (Tahoma)

Climb for a Cause is a fundraising program at Washington's National Park Funds that gives climbers a once in a lifetime opportunity to climb an iconic peak in one of Washington's national parks - all while giving back to these beautiful places!

Story

Washington's three national treasures—Mount Rainier, North Cascades, and Olympic—give us so much. They offer solace, adventure, and connection. They provide clean air, protect wildlife, and preserve ecosystems that sustain us all. Yet these wild spaces face constant challenges: trail erosion, habitat restoration needs, and the ongoing work required to keep them accessible and thriving for future generations.

Every dollar you donate goes directly to Washington's National Park Fund to support critical conservation projects across all three parks. None of the funds come to me—100% of your contribution protects, restores, and maintains these irreplaceable landscapes.

Through Climb for a Cause, I'm summiting Mount Rainier this June as a personal challenge to mark my 40th birthday and to raise awareness for this important work. The mountains have been my therapy, my gym, and my happy place for years. Now it's time to give back to the places that have given me so much.

The goal is $5,000 for park conservation. Whether you've hiked these trails, camped under their stars, or simply value knowing these wild places exist—your support ensures they remain vibrant and accessible for everyone who seeks what nature offers so freely.

Join this effort. Let's protect the mountains that are a happy place for so many. 🏔️
