Story
Millie is doing 10 good deeds this October and November to raise vital funds for Centrepoint this World Homeless Day on October 10th. This way, she can help Centrepoint to help homeless young people as well as to spread a little kindness by doing 10 good deeds. Doing good deeds isn't something people would normally shout about, but this way the deeds can go further and also help raise money and awareness for those young people left without a home.
Donations are welcome up until the end of November.
Just some of the deeds Millie will be doing:
Litter Picking in the village
Collecting / donating to a local food bank
Setting up a bird feeding station to help wildlife over the winter
Making up two shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child
Clearing up leaves in the village
Donating some of her toys and clothes to charity
Selling something of her own and donating the money to charity
Cleaning and tidying the front of The Old Grammar School Community Centre
Staying after school to help organise the school book shelves.
A random impromptu good deed.
On one day alone, 1 young person will become homeless every 4 minutes- that's 360 young people. It's time for this to change.
By raising at least £200, Millie will be helping to change the story for vulnerable young people at breaking point.
Your donation could help give homeless young people a safe place to live, and support them into education or a job. Not only will you be helping to change young lives, but you'll also help to create a society without youth homelessness.
£200 could provide 10 psychotherapy counselling sessions for young people in our services, helping to improve their mental health in the cost-of-living crisis.
By participating in 10:10, Millie is helping Centrepoint be the turning point in their lives.
Together, we can ensure that there is a World Homeless Day soon where no young person is homeless.
Please donate whatever you can- big or small. It all makes a difference.
Thank you for your support! We will be updating the page with her good deeds.
