With Lucas, we are so happy and honoured to have received two charity places for the London Landmarks Half Marathon (7th April 2024) from the Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group (CCLG) and will be running and raising money in memory of two amazing children; Ruby and Fred.

Ruby:

You may remember that last October, I ran the Chicago Marathon, raising money for Ruby’s Live Kindly, Live Loudly CCLG fund. A huge thank you for your support. In 2024, with Lucas, we would love to continue contributing to her fund.

Ruby is my sister’s best friend’s daughter who tragically died of T-cell leukaemia in May 2020, aged just 18. She asked family and friends to raise funds in her memory for research into more kinder & more effective blood cancer treatments. She also asked to be remembered by the motto 'Live Kindly Live Loudly'. Emma and Dylan, Ruby’s parents set up the Live Kindly, Live Loudly fund in Ruby's memory with Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group to raise funds for research into T-Cell lymphona and leukaemia.

Fred:

Fred died of leukaemia the same month as Ruby, aged 14. His mum has become a good friend of Emma’s. Thank you for letting us run for Fred.

Fred Bennett's 'Don't Look Down' Fund is a Special Named Fund at CCLG raising money for research into acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) in memory of 14-year-old Fred Bennett. Fred was 13 years old when in July 2019 he was diagnosed with ALL, a cancer of the blood.
