Story
After convincing myself to never do it again, I will be running the NYC Marathon again. I've learned life doesn't always go as planned and sometimes you have to do hard things. Running and training for this marathon is nothing in comparison to what other people deal with every single day. My nephew, brother, and sister-in-law have had an unimaginable year with immense hardship that has been met with love and support we never anticipated. A lot of life is out of our control but helping other people is something we CAN control.
As you may know, Long Island (Queens) isn't just where I'm from -- it's where my family has found strength and support from people from various aspects of our lives, especially this past year.
The number of our Long Island neighbors who turn to FCA for help is growing every day. While FCA provides professional services to those struggling with economic, emotional and social challenges, their clients' quality of life is enhanced by the involvement of others. This cause is personal, and running for FCA is my way of giving back to a community that's given so much to us. I'm incredibly grateful for your support -- mentally, emotionally, financially, etc. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will mean so much to me and FCA to help uplifting families that need it most.
