#WishHeroes of the London Marathon 2025
Campaign by Make-A-Wish Foundation UK (RCN (England & Wales) 295672 (Scotland) SC037479)
An incredible group of #WishHeroes will be taking on the 2025 TCS London Marathon on the 27th April to grant life-changing wishes for children living with critical illnesses.

Story

In April 2025, a team of seven middle aged men, varying in fitness levels from 3 hour marathon runners to 3 hour 5k runners, ran the London Marathon while pushing Evie in her specially adapted wheelchair.

It was the most incredible day and one none of us will ever forget. Evie was treated like a celebrity with thousands of people shouting her name the whole way round.

Evie is the happiest of 13 year olds, however, several years ago she was diagnosed with a very rare genetic disease which means she is losing her mobility and speech and her body is slowly shutting down on her. Evie has experienced, and we have seen first hand, the great work Make a Wish carry out and as a result we would like to raise funds for this amazing charity.

All donations will go to this amazing charity and will help change the lives of children living with a critical illness.

Make-A-Wish® UK grant life-changing wishes for thousands of critically ill children across the UK. Sadly, the number of wish enquiries from seriously ill children with less than a year to live is rising fast. They need help to meet this urgent demand now - before it’s too late. For families with critically ill children, every day counts. Your support has the power to make a wish come true for a critically ill child, allowing families to create lasting memories that they will treasure forever – no matter what the future holds.
