At Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI), we’re not only passionate about potatoes, turkey, stuffing, and pie, we want Rhode Islanders to have access to all the foods we know they need for health and well-being.

The Rhode Island Community Food Bank (RICFB) provides nutritious meals to Rhode Islanders facing food insecurity, which is why BCBSRI has been a dedicated supporter for more than a decade. BlueAngel volunteers have supported food access through initiatives like Step Up for Hunger Challenge, Summer Snackdown, Blue across Rhode Island, and Gobble Games.

This year, the Rhode Island Food Bank continues to face high demand– even above what they saw during the pandemic – and we want to answer that call. The Food Bank’s supply network allows them to leverage our donations and purchase food in bulk in order to get the most food to the most people. Donating funds is the most effective way to support the Food Bank so they can directly purchase what is most needed.

Gobble Games will also give us the opportunity to answer the all-important question: What is BCBSRI’s favorite Thanksgiving Food? Invite your friends and family to join you in this healthy competition and check back to make sure your team is in the lead!
