After many years of showing me how it’s done, Kaz has finally persuaded me that I should take on the challenge of a HYROX. Luckily, she also said she would join me in a doubles. I know how hard it is to get into HYROX events these days, and I know what our luck is like in these big ticket ballots, so I said yes thinking there was very little chance. Well luckily (sic) for me, the ticket gods were shining on us that day, and we’re all booked in for the London HYROX on 6th December 2025! That gives me just over 2 months to get in shape, understand what I’m doing, and for Kaz to realise what she’s let herself in for!

So all joking aside, I’m excited to take on the challenge, and we are both motivated by the thought of raising money for a very good cause…Macmillan Cancer Support. Both of us have been affected by cancer in our close family, but the unfortunate fact is that most people have. The work Macmillan does really helps those diagnosed and those families that support them.

There are currently over 3 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis, but they can't do this without donations from people like you.

So please give generously. I promise I will drag my arse around the course as fast as I possibly can knowing that your kindness depends on it!
