Story
In 1997, Apple launched a campaign that didn't just sell computers; it changed how a generation of Americans saw themselves and the technology around them. The Think Different campaign celebrated the rebels, the misfits, and the dreamers who pushed the art and technological innovation forward. Nearly 30 years later, its message is more relevant than ever and The Champlain College Art Gallery has an opportunity to present a rare and personal collection of Think Different campaign memorabilia, artifacts, and iconic Apple hardware opening during Champlain Weekend, October 2026.
Working in partnership with Professor of Computer Science, Brian Hall, Sc.D, together, we will tell the story of how Apple's boldest marketing moment not only shaped a personal life trajectory but also an entire generation's relationship with technology.
Your gift, this Giving Day, will directly support the museum-quality materials needed to bring this special collection to life. Please join us in giving our Champlain Community and greater Burlington community a firsthand experience with the spirit of thinking differently, right here on campus.
