I am running the London Landmarks half marathon some family members that have diabetes, specifically type 1.

Type 1 diabetes runs on both sides of my family, with my dad and both uncles on both sides of the family. Unfortunately, we lost my dads twin brother at the age of 46 back in February 2023. I have seen the effects that hypos and hypers can have on the body and how hard it can be to regulate.

I know that more treatments are being looked into and that any money raised can help to fund new ones and more research in the future.
