For those of you who may not know, the Y is way more than a gym and swim facility. It is a community. Core to the Y's mission is to ensure everyone can enjoy the Y regardless of your ability to pay. More importantly, the Y is committed to helping people of all ages and abilities grow in spirit, mind and body.

The picture above is of my daughter Cameron. Cameron is 27 years old, happy and healthy. She also has autism. Our family is blessed to be able to afford the care she needs. For many families, however, caring for kids or young adults like Cameron can be a significant financial challenge. For 25+ years, I have proudly served as a board member at the Edward Jones YMCA. During this time, my fundraising efforts have been targeted to help families of kids like Cameron who can't afford important services like day care, summer camp, etc. The money raised goes directly to our scholarship/financial assistance program to support those who need it most.
