Story
This May, I'm taking on the HYROX challenge alongside my good friend Sprigge, to support people living with cancer for Macmillan Cancer Support.
It's likely we will be among the most unfit people participating. It's probable that one of us will end up in tears. And it's definite that our tee shirts will remain on throughout (at our wives request - no doubt they're concerned about the alpha sexy energy emanating off us both).
Unfortunately I've seen first hand the incredible love and care that Macmillan nurses give, alongside the wider support that Macmillan as an organisation provide.
And I'll be forever grateful to the Macmillan nurses, who ensured that my Mum was as comfortable as possible, always with a smile and natter at the right times.
I will always want to make sure as many people as possible are able to benefit from this incredible charity.
We have pledged to raise £1,000, which would support 24 hours worth of Macmillan nurse time. We'd be so grateful for any donations to help me reach our goal.
HYROX is a fitness race that combines both running and functional fitness. We’ll be taking on a course of a 1km run followed by 1 functional workout station, repeated eight times... So yeah... Pretty idiotic thing to do for people who hate running.
Thank you!
