Tony Ledden is raising money for Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer Inc

Ironman Wisconsin 2025 · 7 September 2025

This is a general fundraising page for supporters who want to make a difference in the world of childhood cancer & related blood disorders research.

Story

As you may know, I turn 65 this year and I'm marking the occasion by completing the 140.6 miles of the Ironman Wisconsin triathlon on Sunday, September 7, 2025 in Madison, Wisconsin.

We all have friends and relatives who have battled, or are continuing to battle, serious health concerns. So in order to help me keep moving forward through the 2.4 mile swim in Lake Monona, the 112 mile bike through the hilly dairy and farming communities outside of Madison, and on the 26.2 mile marathon run through the state capital and University, I'd like to engage your support by asking for your support of the MACC fund.

The MACC Fund was founded in 1976 by Jon McGlocklin and Eddie Doucette, to raise money for childhood cancer and blood disorders research. Since inception, the MACC Fund has CONTRIBUTED over $85 million to research and has seen cure rates rise from 20% to 85% today. While this is excellent progress, much work remains to be done, and the MACC Fund will not rest until no child is lost to cancer or related blood disorders.

The MACC Fund supports research conducted at Children's Wisconsin, the Medical College of Wisconsin, the UW Carbone Cancer Center, and the Marshfield Clinic.

Every donation, large or small, makes a significant impact on the lives of kids battling cancer and related blood disorders. Your generosity will save kids lives.
