Hello friends, family, and colleagues!

As a member of the New York City Summer Search Associate Board, I'm excited to announce that i'll be running the NYC Half Marathon in March 2024 to help fundraise for Summer Search's programming and students!

As many of you may know I’ve never been much of a runner. In fact, before training for this race I’ve never ran more than 1 mile.

One of the missions at Summer Search is to encourage students to push themselves and take risks, so I decided to lead by example and sign up for this challenging race. I would be extremely grateful for your support as I train to go from 1 to 13.1 miles and cross the finish line on race day. Any amount you give will go towards supporting Summer Search's staff, students, and families. And if you're in NYC, please feel free to come cheer me on or even lend a helping hand on race day.

Through intensive, year-round individual and group mentoring, summer experiential opportunities, financial aid advising, and continued services as students progress on their post-secondary pathways, Summer Search is changing the lives of young people every day. Our unique 7-9-year program model beginning in sophomore year of high school creates space for participants to claim their racial and cultural identity while building awareness of how their identity influences how others experience them. Summer Search empowers their students to become confident, purpose driven adults that lead their families and communities to thrive.
