Story
Thank you for taking time to visit my campaign page for my participation in the 2026 Ringer to benefit the MACC Fund!
Hi all and yes, it is that time of year. Spring is starting to show signs of life in the Midwest and northeast and it is time to do some good! Once again, I am reaching out to you asking to support my fundraising efforts. Unfortunately, we need to keep raising money as we have not reached our goal of eradicating (childhood) cancer. However, we have made great strides and are really making a difference! I am excited to be asked to participate in a tremendously worthy cause through the MACC Fund and their ‘RINGER’ campaign.
Cancer sucks. End of story. Unfortunately, all of us have likely been affected by it in our lives. The MACC Fund is focused on fighting childhood cancer and related blood disorders by providing critical funding for research of cures and treatments and is making a big difference. The RINGER event is one of their largest fundraisers where they ask 24 people to play 100 holes of golf in one day at The Bog in Saukville, WI to raise awareness and funds. Last year we collectively raised over $220,000! I also plan to use the day to reflect on how fortunate I am to have the ability to do this and what is important in my life, as well as how lucky I am to be surrounded by such great family and friends.
The event is May 7, 2026 , and my goal is to raise $17,000 to further the cause of eradicating childhood cancer and related blood disorders. If you can support this cause or pass it along to someone who may want to, it would be greatly appreciated. Understanding that there are many great and worthy causes out there, if you can’t support this one I hope that you too can take some time to reflect on what is important and support a cause that is meaningful to you.
On May 7th 2026 I will set out to play 100 hole-of-golf in a single day to help the MACC Fund raise critical funding for childhood cancer and related blood disorders research.
The event name “The Ringer” is symbolic of a child going through the unthinkable journey of battling cancer. Upon the completion of a successful childhood cancer or blood disorder treatment protocol, children are given the chance to physically "RING THE BELL", a bell which hangs from the wall in cancer institutes across the country. This monumental moment in a child’s life was the inspiration for starting, The Ringer.
In just eight years, thanks to the efforts of our participants and YOU, my generous donors, the Ringer has raised over $1,500,000 for research.
Any donation, large or small, makes a huge impact on the lives of kids battling cancer and related blood disorders. Thank you!
