DC Volunteer Lawyers Project: For The Good Campaign

DID YOU KNOW? In Washington, DC less than 20% of domestic violence survivors have access to an attorney when seeking a protective order, filing for divorce, or obtaining custody of their children from an abuser?
A life free from violence is a basic human right and having an attorney shouldn't depend on whether or not you can afford one. That's why DCVLP recruits, trains, and supervises a network of over 450 volunteer lawyers who represent thousands of clients each year in their protective order, custody, divorce, guardianship, and immigration matters.
October 24th kicks off DCVLP's 4th annual For The Good campaign with a 24-hour Day of Giving. Every $1 donated becomes $6 in free legal services that helps close the justice gap for DC & MD residents who need it most. Join me in supporting the important work of DCVLP by donating today For The Good.
On behalf of the survivors and children who will directly benefit from your generosity, thank you for supporting DC Volunteer Lawyers Project!
