Story
This December, I’m taking on HYROX London ExCel 2026 in support of people living with cancer through Macmillan Cancer Support. It will be my first HYROX event, and I’ll be joining forces with a fellow first-timer Anthony Pratt for the doubles challenge.
HYROX is a slightly bonkers 'sporting event' that combines 8km of running with a series of tough fitness stations. 1km, then a different fitness station/challenge, repeated eight times. It's challenging enough to make me nervous - especially as I'm not as young as I used to be and get injured just looking at a treadmill these days!
As some of you know, historically I like to do challenges to raise money for worthy causes. This time I’m taking on this event to help make a difference for people and families facing cancer.
I've set a fundraising target of £3,000, and every donation will help Macmillan continue offering vital support, practical guidance, and much-needed comfort when it matters most. Across the UK, millions of people are living with cancer, and Macmillan works tirelessly to ensure they do not have to face it alone.
If you’re able to support this challenge, I would be incredibly grateful. Please donate if you can and help me raise as much as possible for this important cause. Thank you so much in advance for any support you're able to give.
