Story
This November, I will be running in the NYC Marathon!
I’ve always loved New York, so I’m really excited to experience the city from a completely different perspective on race day and to see what 26.2 miles actually feels like.
I’m running with Team SCOPE, an organization I’ve known about through sleepaway camp. My camp has a close connection with SCOPE and has been a longtime supporter of their work. Camp has been a big part of my life, and I’ve seen firsthand how much the community and experiences that come with it can mean to people.
That’s a big part of why I wanted to support SCOPE. They give kids the opportunity to experience camp, build a community, and have experiences that they might not otherwise have access to. I know how much camp has meant to me, and I think everyone should have the opportunity to experience something like that.
So, I’m taking on my first marathon and planning to raise $5,000 for SCOPE along the way.
If you’re able to donate, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks for helping me get to the starting line and, hopefully, across the finish line in November.
