Story
In 2018, I agreed to sleep outside one night to raise awareness and funds for Social Advocates for Youth (SAY), a Sonoma County organization that provides much-needed support in housing, mental wellness, and career training to ensure that no youth in our county are left to fend for themselves.
It was a eye-opening and life changing experience for me. I had no idea about the magnitude of the problem or the great work done by SAY for over 50 years. On any given evening, there are 340 young people, from ages 12 to 24, without a home.
I'm supporting SAY again this year through the 2021 340 campaign. I have donated $1,000 and my employer, Mercer, is making a $2,200 matching contribution.
Moreover, thanks to the generosity of the John Jordan Foundation, the Do-Gooder Fund and Providence Health, your fundraising efforts will have double the impact. Every dollar raised will be matched, up to $100,000, allowing SAY to keep changing lives in our community.
Any donations that you can make to support SAY and help end youth homelessness would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support!
