Our Ada was diagnosed with refractory temporal lobe epilepsy in October 2021, with her first known seizure seen just 4 days before her first birthday. She had an explosive onset with a prolonged hospitalization at Boston Children’s Hospital and has continued to fight her battle daily for nearly two years. We were lucky enough to have epilepsy surgery as a treatment option for Ada. This August we were once again guests at Boston Children’s Hospital; and Ada, under the care of many brilliant doctors including Dr Harini and Dr. Stone, underwent her first epilepsy surgery.
