Story
This March We’re taking on HYROX for Macmillan for a very personal and powerful reasons.
I lost my beautiful mum, Helen, to cancer. My best friend Jody is now bravely fighting breast cancer, while Garry, Abi’s father-in-law, has recently gone into remission after his own cancer journey, something we are incredibly grateful to be celebrating.
We’ve seen the heartbreak cancer can bring, but also the strength, resilience and hope that comes with it. Throughout these journeys, Macmillan were absolutely amazing offering support, guidance and kindness when it mattered most.
This challenge is about remembering those we’ve lost, standing strong with those still fighting, and celebrating the wins along the way. Every donation helps Macmillan continue to be there for families facing cancer.
Thank you so much for supporting us and helping us make a difference 💚
HYROX is the fitness race that combines both running and functional fitness. I’ll be taking on a course of a 1km run followed by 1 functional workout station, repeated eight times.
We have pledged to raise £800, which could run the Macmillan Support Line for nearly 2 hours. We would be so grateful for any donations to help us reach our goal.
📖 £10 could pay for 10 copies of our Help with the cost of cancer booklet.
📱 £20 could provide one session of emotional support to a person living with cancer with a Macmillan Buddy.
💚 £39 could pay for a Macmillan Nurse for 1 hour.
There are currently over 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK today. It's Macmillan's goal to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, but they can’t do this without donations from people like you.
Thank you!
