The YMCA is the nation's leading nonprofit for strengthening communities through programs and services that nurture and enrich the lives of our youth, promote healthy living, and embed the ideals of social responsibility. More than 174 years of being guided by our mission, innovating programs, and delivering transformative responses to community needs, the YMCA has produced and reinforced a set of basic beliefs about how and why our YMCA effects meaningful, enduring change. The Y's mission is our reason for being, and the Y's cause is our mission in action-a promise to do everything in our power to inspire the common good and make life better for individuals, families, and communities. The YMCA of South Palm Beach County's Strategic Plan draws motivation and direction from both.
