Raising money for The Brain Tumour Charity
In memory of Bill Quaile

London to Brighton - The Brain Tumour Charity · 15 September 2024 ·

Cycle 55 miles from the capital to the coast this September in one of the most iconic cycling events in the fundraising calendar!

Story

Bill was diagnosed with a Grade IV Glioblastoma in June 2023 and cruelly lost the war in January, just a month before his 60th. With a great love of live and all things fun, Bill played and fiercely supported rugby and cricket, skied often, walked and loved a dip in the sea. All the aforementioned carried out with friends, food and wine of which he had good all round knowledge! Mischief was never far away and often accompanied with chuckling...

The diagnosis, treatment and care received over the last 7 months from the NHS was as good and speedy as it could have been. However, it is very apparent that there is a huge requirement for more research into brain tumours and the development of more effective treatments for all types.

The team is raising money (as much as possible) for The Brain Tumour Charity. Bill did his first long ride - the Nightride from Ally Pally to Brighton Racecourse back in 2012 to raise funds for Victa - the ride will be a bit shorter this time and the cause is very important, so please contribute if you are able - at all helps.

Thank you in advance.
