Story
On Sunday 13 October 2024, a group of ten runners from Fortnum & Mason are taking on The Royal Parks Half Marathon for Centrepoint to help end youth homelessness.
Help us by donating whatever you can. The money we raise will help change the story for homeless young people. Centrepoint support over 14,000 young people every year providing accommodation, helping them get into work or education, and teaching them the skills they need to thrive independently. Centrepoint's work supporting vulnerable young people wouldn't be possible without support from people like us, so thank you!
Please give generously and spur us on to the finish line!
Centrepoint is the UKs leading youth homelessness charity. They work to help young people to move on positively from homelessness through mental and physical health support, in addition to giving them the tools required through education and employability training to move on to live independent lives. Their model focuses on sustainable futures for the young people we support, this means working with them to help them into a job and a home, rather than just providing temporary shelter. They work with more than 14,000 homeless 16-25 year olds every year, and despite arriving at Centrepoint with some of the most turbulent backgrounds imaginable, 88% of young people leave Centrepoint with a positive outcome having taken the first steps towards a successful, independent future.
The team will also take in some of the capital's world-famous landmarks, such as Buckingham Palace and The Royal Albert Hall. They will also run across four of London's eight Royal Parks - Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James's Park and Kensington Gardens - all whilst raising money to help Centrepoint end youth homelessness by 2037.
