Raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support
In memory of My mum Liz

HYROX London ExCel 2026 · 2 December 2026 · Start fundraising for this event

HYROX is the world’s leading fitness event series, and we’re happy to be their UK headline charity partner. HYROX is a fitness race for everybody, no matter your fitness level.

Story

Nearly five years ago, we lost my mum to ovarian cancer.

Losing someone you love to cancer changes you in ways you never expect. The journey I’ve been on since losing Mum has made me realise just how important it is that people living with cancer, and their families, have the support, guidance and helping hand they need at what can be the most difficult time of their lives.

That’s why this December, me and Lyle are taking part in HYROX London ExCeL to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, and I’m doing it in memory of my mum. 💚

HYROX is a fitness race combining running and functional fitness. I’ll be taking on eight 1km runs, each followed by a functional workout station. I know this challenge is going to be incredibly hard, but having a reason that means so much to me will keep me going every step of the way.

Our goal is to raise at least £800, but we’d love to go beyond that if I can. Every donation, no matter how big or small, could help Macmillan continue to be there for people when they need it most.

📖 £14.50 could pay for 10 copies of Macmillan’s Help with the cost of cancer booklet.

📱 £23 could provide one session of emotional support with a Macmillan Buddy.

💚 £41 could pay for a Macmillan Nurse for one hour.

There are currently more than 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK, and Macmillan is working to ensure they get the best possible care and support.

If you’re able to donate, share my story, or simply support me along the way, it would genuinely mean so much to me and my family.

I’m doing this for Mum, and for everyone who is facing cancer and deserves to know they’re not alone. 💚

Thank you for supporting my story and helping me turn something incredibly painful into something positive.
