Story
2 Years Ago, Chris and I set ourselves the challenge of walking for 24 hours straight whilst raising funds for Mind and, despite the severe lack of training, fitness levels, and heat of the hottest day in summer, we successfully completed 90km whilst raising over £2000 for the charity that is very close to our hearts.
Due to the success of our previous event, we have decided to challenge ourselves once again by taking it one step further and signing up (alongside Louis who is raising funds for Cancer Research) to the Cotswold Way 100km Challenge on the 21st June 2025 - This consists of running a planned route starting in Cirencester, covering the surrounding countryside, climbing over 2000m of elevation and finishing back in Cirencester all within our target time of under 16 hours. To say this is a step up from our previous challenge would be a huge understatement but it's about time we really pushed ourselves.
Mental health is still such a huge issue amongst many but specifically the younger generation and men in our age group. It is so important to not only speak to those who can help but also escape the realities of life and the toxic environment that can be social media sometimes. We firmly believe some of the best ways of doing this is through exercise, with Chris himself having a truly amazing transformation over the last couple of years. This is a challenge not only for ourselves, but for all those close and far, who may be struggling with their mental health.
If you need to talk, do not hesitate. There is always someone ready to listen.
