We’ve signed up for HYROX… something completely new for both of us. Neither of us have ever taken part in competitive sports, and we’ve definitely never attempted a challenge on this scale. We wanted to push ourselves out of our comfort zone and see what we’re capable of, both physically and mentally. It’s going to be tough, and we know there’ll be moments where we question we signed up, but that’s exactly the point. We’re doing this to test our endurance, and our mindset, and all for a great cause - to support Macmillan Cancer Support and everyone living with cancer 💚

HYROX is one of the toughest fitness races out there. It combines 8 x 1km runs, each followed by a high-intensity functional workout, pushing strength, endurance, and mental grit to the limit. We’re training hard because we know race day will be brutal - but it’s nothing compared to the daily battles faced by people living with cancer.

We’ve pledged to raise as much money as possible to help Macmillan continue providing vital, life-changing support to those who need it most. Every donation, big or small, truly makes a difference.

Your support could help fund things like:

💚 £39 - Could pay for a Macmillan Nurse for 1 hour, giving medical expertise and emotional reassurance when it’s needed most.

💬 £75 - Could fund specialist emotional support sessions for someone struggling to cope with a cancer diagnosis.

📞 £100+ - Could help keep the Macmillan Support Line running, ensuring people don’t have to face cancer alone.

🏠 £250 - Could contribute towards practical and financial support, helping families with heating, rent, or travel to treatment.

There are currently over 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK, and that number is rising. Macmillan is there at every step - from diagnosis, through treatment, and beyond - but they can’t do it without the generosity of people like you.
