Story
A Step Up Academy is such a special place. It’s warm and welcoming. Staff smile and greet you in the halls. It’s a small school with a BIG vision that makes a HUGE impact for students with Autism. Their vision is “preparing our students for the world and the world for our students.”
As players and coaches from the Philadelphia Freeze, we have often incorporated this vision and the philosophies of ASUA on the ice by encourages and teaching our players teamwork, dedication, loyalty, friendship, and sportsmanship. Not only do we share some of the same philosophies, we also share players! When not on the ice and representing Freeze, THREE OF OF PLAYERS CAN BE FOUND REPPING ORANGE AND TEAL as students of ASUA.
CAMERON #21 has been a student at A Step Up Academy for 3 years.
COOPER #6 and DANIEL E. #32 are both new members of the ASUA community and began this year.
While three of our amazing freeze boys are getting the absolute BEST EDUCATION they can receive now, they did not begin in the pubic school systems being valued as the awesome young men they are. Like many of neurospicy kiddos, they struggled and faced enormous challenges getting the help, patience, love and education they were entitled too in the district. ASUA has been a saving grace in preparing our boys for the future and giving them a safe, loving and nurturing place to thrive.
LETS SHOW OUR FREEZE BOYS SOME SUPPORT AND MAKE THIS A PHILADELPHIA FREEZE AUTISM WALK TAKE OVER!!!!!!!!! PLEASE CONSIDER REGISTERING AND DONATING TO SUPPORT CAM, COOP, AND DAN!
I am inviting you to support us as we take 2,024 steps around their new home on August 24th at the Step Up for Autism Walk.
Show them that you believe in what they do at ASUA and make a gift to my team. Thank you so much!
