I AM PRO-KID! Join me & Support PRO-KID on May 18th at the Hudson River Park's Pier 46 in NYC as I join the Walk This Way 5K for The Felix Organization founded by Darryll McDaniels ( DMC) & Emmy Award Winning Casting Director Sheila Jaffe. May is National Foster Care Awareness Month and PRO-KID's goal is to change the lives of children in foster care.

The award-winning Felix Organization is working towards building PRO-KID, an organization that provides a culture of caring for all youth in the foster care system from birth to adulthood.

According to those with lived experience, the foster care system across the nation, lacks critical services needed to holistically protect, care for, and prepare our foster youth for adulthood. Many non-profit organizations serving the foster care community are limited in addressing the many concurrent issues that youth in foster care are confronted with. These limitations hereby limit the culture of care needed for each youth to survive and thrive.

Our youth are in foster care because they were abandoned, unwanted, neglected, or abused. PRO-KID endeavors to create an extraordinary community where children in foster care are embraced with the highest standard of care as they journey toward adulthood.

MISSION: Nationwide Umbrella Organization - PRO-KID ● Create a Culture of Caring “army”! People who care - it’s not just a job. ● Create a Bill of Rights or Manifesto of what all children in foster care deserve! ● Regional Conferences, Best Practices, and Field Consultants ●Simultaneously building the Pro-Kid App that includes a national and regional database of all foster care supportive organizations, services, and resources; foster supportive master classes; Podcast “I AM PRO-KId!,” etc.
