No child should have to worry when their next meal will be, and no parent should have to skip a meal, water down drinks, or risk not paying a bill in order to provide food for their children. More than 560,000 people, or 1 in 7 people across our region are now unsure where their next meal might come from, including nearly 1 in 5 children and teenagers, across the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina’s 34-county area service area. Since its inception, Students Against Hunger has provided hundreds of thousands of meals to families with the support of local schools.

Thanks to the support of generous friends, our holiday meals match campaign is in full swing. Any gifts we receive now through the end of December will have double the impact. That means that for every $1 donated, 10 meals can be provided to our neighbors and friends through this holiday season.
