Inclusion Matters by Shane's Inspiration is a non-profit that is near and dear to my heart. This is an organization that fosters a bias-free world for children with disabilities. Please join me in supporting their 26th Annual Run, Walk & Roll. Since 1998, they have been fostering social inclusion for children with disabilities. They have reinvented the paradigm of play by designing inclusive playgrounds and providing outreach and educational programs that unite children of ALL abilities together through the powerful act of play. They work globally with community partners on every continent to ensure that play, dignity and friendship are within reach of every child. The global impact that this organization has made is very powerful. 

• 77 inclusive playgrounds open to date
• 65 countries received education curriculum
• 55,000 children directly served through the education program
• 1,000,000 annual playground visitors.

• Run, Walk & Roll- 4K walk (approx 2 miles) around Griffifth Park on Sunday 9/17/23 at 8AM.

We have been blessed with Leon who was born with disabilities. As we've been trying to navigate through Leon's journey with disabilities over the past 3 years, we realized that something so simple as playing in a playground was difficult for him. At times we felt discouraged when we took Leon to playgrounds because there were so many limitations to how he can access the playground and have fun. 

We came across an instagram account of a mom that shares her life with her son who has disabilities. That's where I learned about what an inclusive playground is and started researching if there were any around where we live. We were thrilled to find out that there were actually few inclusive playgrounds near us and were more excited to find out about this great organization called Shane's Inspiration. 

We love visiting the Griffith Park location because this playground is designed for kiddos like Leon. Leon is able to roam around the playground in his wheelchair with our assistance. We are so fortunate to have an inclusive park near us and want to spread the word about this fundraiser so that other kiddos with disabilities may have access to one as well.
